Time: Fall/Winter 3-5pm OR 5-7pm; Spring/Summer 4-6pm OR 6-8pm
Learn about our farm and local food systems while exploring the topics of food resilience, tropical agroforestry, and the flavors and ingredients that make Hawaiʻi unique.
The experience begins with a one-hour guided tour of our food forests, where guests will learn about sustainable farming practices and the diverse crops grown on the farm. Common Ground’s Farm and Food Experience offers a showcase of what grows on Kauai in our regenerative food forest: A collection of exotic and delicious foods brought to Hawai`i from all corners of the globe. Coffee, pineapple, tree tomato, kava, mamak’i, heart of palm, papaya, bananas, and more! Following the tour, guests will enjoy an exclusively sourced four-course prix fixe meal featuring fresh, locally grown ingredients.
The Regenerative Farm & Food Experience demonstrates a model for how food can be grown in harmony with nature, planted in concert so as to minimize the need for imported fertilizers and pesticides. We discuss why Hawai’i shouldn’t need to import 85+% of its food and what a robust local food system can do for communities everywhere. We believe a meal on Kauai should be unique and represent the abundance, flavors and cultures of the island. The tour concludes with a prix fixe meal to savor and enjoy while celebrating the delicious diversity that exists on Kauai all while exploring our mission here at Common Ground. 100% Island sourced because it should be, from the cooking oil to the seasonings. Feel free to grab beer or wine from the bar to relax into a perfect island evening in a beautiful tropical farm setting. We welcome children of all ages!
